my ring

The Beatles sang, Money can't buy me love.. Certainly not.. but it sure can buy me a ring! This month is the month of spoiling myself. yup, i figured i kinda owe it to myself.. Since, bole la i feel like i've been working hard.. so why not?
For 3 weeks in a row, i've had 2 old town white coffee OTWC (which im starting to like) and a few Starbucks to keep me up at night and San Francisco Coffee while chilling at midvalley.. yup.. i havent been going out for almost 3 months.. weekends there's usually something to do.. cause i occupy myself with projects.. cewah.. or work..
i also bought a few baju formyself... and some presents for my niece and nephews..
and today, i bought myself a ring... saje saje je... :)

my tuesdays with morrie

I spent my Saturday finishing the novel i bought on 1st Jan 2008, PS I love You by Cecelia Ahern. Finally! No no.. don't get me wrong.. it's not that the novel was boring, it was great! and i just lost count of the times i had tears in my eyes.. The story was very touching!.. however, it was written in such a way that it was in Ireland.. and I prefer American-written novelist , i guess.. but all in all, its highly recommended! (especially if you're a sucker for love stories like me.. hehe) next in the running is Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. yup, cikyah recommended this book.. a story about an old man, a young man, and life's greatest lesson... and i think i need a little bit of some positive energy.. so i guess this book is good for me rite now...

its been like an unwritten law. FEDERAL HIGHWAY JEM. especially kat2 angkasapuri sampai ke university LRT station.. padahal takde apa pun?? nape semua orang slow down kat situ? nak tgk2 lampu ker? nak time LRT lalu pukul berapa? nak tengok bangunan telekom? what izzit???

for all federal highway users, please just jalan je terus, believe me, there's nothing going on.. and even if there was something going on, just move on! people need to get to places la wei....

worked late yday till 6.. the degree students took the 5 mins break to 15 mins break which really changed my mood.. dah la pagi2 ada LECTURER MANE NTAH YG TAK RETI PADAM WHITE BOARD! hish~ [ why soo cranky Dora? ]

anyway, i got a call from the uitm lecturer ckp nak report dia harini.. so i was like GULP! ok ok dora bole buat... beres... so on the way back home (walaupun waktu maghrib dah CP CP dah nak habis), i stopped by at starbucks and bought myself a large sized latte' to keep me up that night.. and i also had oreos to go with it.. nice~

anyway, completed the first project.. maybe tonite i will settlekan the 2nd project.. and beres.. she asked me to give a quotation berapa nak charge for the service.. alamak.. tak retinyer i...

newsflash, today my roommate witnessed 11 mushrooms tumbuh in our office... (malangnya gambar takde) geli kan? its sad to say that till now, our employer still tak fix the aircond problem.. smpai mushroom pun bole tumbuh... geli rasenyer... oh yeah, i guess the money that they were supposed to pay the maintenance went elsewhere ? hmmmm...

EXHALE!

FUH! i finally finished the syllabus for the shah alam students! yippie-ya-yo-kaiyeeeee!! and today, surprisingly, they finally LISTENED to me explaining.. yer laa bab normal distribution agak challenging.. i guess i can finally conclude kenapa diorg ni bising dlm kelas... its probably because the topic sebelum2 ni tak challenging for them kot? so, takpela.. since the final paper is quite tough this semester, i guess i can see the ones yang mmg betul2 faham and yang mmg buat2 paham tp terlalu eksyen nak menanya.... at the end of every class, EVERY class, i will ask them, "any questions?.... everyone ok?" and when there's no reply, i will conclude, "yes, i finally taught them something".. although sometimes my conclusion could be wrong... well, we'll see laa nanti...

so, if the syllabus dah habis, meaning, the semester will end soon.. which also means, i would need to complete their coursework marks... yikes!

wanna know something? i won't be teaching foundation students next semester > translation, lil-prodigy adi putra won't be my students [exhale!]

wanna know another thing? next semester, i will be teaching 2 biotech degree students > translation, shah alam [again, exhale!] hopefully the students are not as crazy & noisy as the ones i had this semester.... huhu

my cheese

"who moved my cheese? " i asked myself when i opened the fridge this morning. i woke up late because i couldn't sleep thanks to oldtownwhitecoffee's hazelnut ice blended! it kept me till almost 3am last night! if i were still a student, it would be a blessing that i could stay up till 3 am. haven't done that in quite sometime though.. usually 10 oclock my eyes start to blink2 and gone... ZZzzz..

so while standing in front of the fridge and looking for the cheese, i sat down on the kitchen table and ate bread with hazelnut spread (hazelnut again?). and then i remembered what my mom always say to me, "bende makan tak baik ungkit". yes, its true.. i didnt mind that someone ate the last slice of cheese.. what i would usually say is, "its okay, takde rezeki".. and as a matter of fact, i shouldnt even be writing about this whole cheese deal, but the title is just so catchy! hehe.. and last night, i was pointblank.. i couldn't write.. the ideas just didn't come.. maybe because of the hazelnut.. i even told shaz, "aku takbole tulis!" and ofcourse about the thing that has been bothering me, (shaz tau), it just made the evening more... bluerrrghhh!

back on the ungkit makan thing, i think ALL parents should tell their kids that.. i mean, bila dah makan, bende tu dah jadi darah daging kita.. and if u ungkit, what do you expect? the person to muntahkan balik mknan tu? seriusly? i met these kind of people.. the ones who like to ungkit about everything.. and from my observation, apa yang dia buat, tak berkat.. seriusly.. so please, spread this to everyone.. a very important lesson and pesanan... "BENDE MAKAN TAK BAIK UNGKIT." you know why, its like what you give is not ikhlas...

On a positive note, i bought a whole line of AVON products this month. i just realized that my eyes are starting to have wrinkles and my face is kind of like kusam and unorganized(is that the appropriate word?). after watching really many2 gorgeous looking ladies at 1000wajah.com photoshoot, i feel like i need to do something to my face.. yeah, i can't afford to buy BobbyBrown or Mac make up for now, but i figured AVON is quite established, since they have an office at the Trump Tower, they must be doing really well.. maybe line of expensive make ups are not in my important list right now..

still a long way to go on buying my SLR camera.. sabar2.. i guess the waiting is going to be worth it.. i guess all my waiting is going to be worth it... perhaps..

my haircut

last two weeks has been very crazy for me.. i didnt get much rest or much sleep.. had to submit 2 final examination questions with answer scheme plus format and stuff.. but alhamdulillah i managed to finish it on time.. so yesterday, kena buat kerja2 yang important but not urgent like filing, updating stuff.. and other admin stuff yang lecturers kena buat (yup, we are paid not only to teach but also to manage and do other stuff which are important but not urgent. yes, important but not urgent).

so friday was a YIPPIE! day.. so when i drove back, though it was raining, i managed to squeeze myself to the salon and get myself a haircut. rambutku yang sudah panjang, pekat, berat, and lebat serta beralun sudah mula memeningkan + mengserabutkan kepala.. and the twins like to pull my hair whenever they get the chance..

so, wash, syampoo and cut cost me RM35, which was worth it. cause the syampoo gurl was nice..urut2 kepala..[sila lah ker Cut Inn SS5 for really quality service.. seriusly.. dia siap payungkan sampai ke kereta] its nice to spoil urself once in a while.. especially when you've been working extra hard to earn some decent extra income.. and it really paid off... so, alhamdulillah :)

today pun i spoiled myself with some oldtown white coffee treat.. i treated my brother and sis in law sebab terigt mase my parents went to umrah, i stayed at their house for 2 weeks.. guess i owe it to them..

ada lagi nak blog pjg lagi but skrg ni nak berchatting dgn org jauh kejap.. yeah, we've only got weekends to talk nowadays since both of us sedang sibuk mencari rezeki... post yang selepas ni pasti hangat bangat sangat sangat.. tunggggguuuu sampai penat... hehehe
