2 thirds of my sleeping time

>> Monday, November 09, 2009

I always thought that statistics is cooler than calculus. There are always new research especially in social science that you can check out from many many journals. Or sometimes they just publish it in the papers and Prof. or Dr. can give conclusions and comments on it (when the ones who did the real dirty jobs are Research Assistants). I had some gigs as a Statistician. From Raw Primary Data to real conclusions and inferences. I keyed in every data, I could comprehend or predict the outcomes.

For tomorrow's tutorial, I decided to create my own Tutorial questions rather than selecting from the text book. When I was brushing my teeth earlier, I thought of examples that my students can relate to so that they will remember hopefully for the rest of their lives. I stumbled upon an interesting fact. Nielson did a study and found out that the average time per person spend on facebook.com is 4 hours and 39 minutes. Sheeishh.. That's almost 2/3 of my sleeping time. Now I can understand Ikhwan's FB status a few weeks back (He is not an FB fan hehe).

The semester will be ending soon and as usual, I will have this weird feeling. Yes. Its called sedih but happy. Happy that I did my job and carried out my responsibilities not only as an academician but also as a big sister. Of course sad. Sad that I dont know when I will ever see them again. Will they remember me or apply whatever I have taught them. Scared. Hope. Hoping that they will be a successful person one day. I dont really mind if they forget me. Knowing that they have achieved their goals in life, I would be the sidelines apart from their parents and family members who will silently share their joy and happiness.

I ended my tutorial paper with this quote:

When you live for a strong purpose, then hard work isn’t an option. It’s a necessity.- Steve Pavlina.

This one is dedicated to my dear husband, Ikhwan.

I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.

I love you b :)

i like this word, pillar

>> Wednesday, October 21, 2009

When i woke up i thought a lot about the dream i had a few days ago. It was very clear that I had pictured it vividly. It was replayed over and over again in my mind. I know that it must've meant something. So I told a friend of mine about the dream. it just so happens that she's good at interpreting dreams (not tukang telek ye, more like psychological interpretation).

Perhaps she is right. For the second dream that i had the following day, if only words are prayers. and good words are good prayers, if at that exact moment that Allah heard my prayers and my friend's good words, I am truly thankful.

Today, after class,

'Excuse me Madam. I didn't get your name?'

'Oh.. u didn't come for the first class.. my name is (writing on the white board)'

'Ooo ok.. yes yes. XX told me about u. You taught XX last semester right?'

'Yes i did (smiling). What did XX tell you?'

With that statement, after reaching my office, I poured 3 cups of nescafe and did a whole lot of productive work. Remember how it felt like when your teacher / lecturer writes, 'Good job!' or 'Keep it up!' on your test papers? That's how I felt today. That's why I make it a point to comment on good achievements to motivate my students. U can see the difference. A lot.

The 3 minutes long distance phone call was at 1130 last night. It was worth the wait. What's cool about my husband is that he is super punctual. During the call, I just closed my eyes while listening to every frequency and noise. I could hear his footsteps walking up the stairs, opening the door, opening the other door, and putting his coins and mp3 player on the table and his bag at one corner. It was almost like being there :) One thing I know is that he is passionate about his work. May Allah bless my husband and his hard work and open the doors for his rezeki inshallah. Ameen.

What's new about me? I think, I feel that I am changing. I used to be good at expressing myself in writing, but this time, cant quite describe it with words.

Change for the better, inshallah.

Just like those penceramah, I would like to end this post with a quote taken from the Muslim bride. An advise to Muslim wives.

Be a floor to him, he will be a roof to you; be a soft seat to him, he will be a pillar for you; and be like a slave girl to him and he will be a slave boy to you. Avoid inopportune behaviour, least he should be bored with you; and be not aloof lest he should become indifferent to you. If he approaches you, come running to him; and if he turns away, do not impose yourself upon him. Take care of his nose, his eye and his ear. Let him not smell except a good odour from you; let not his eye see you except in an agreeable appearance; and let him hear nothing from you except nice, fine words.

nice fine words for meine Mann..
Halo bb, ich liebe dich.. Jehtz, ich kann sprechen Deutsch bb, ya? :)
shon tag noch :)
auf wiederhoren
Gute Nacht b!
von Ihrer Frau..

my first weekend

>> Monday, June 01, 2009

Last weekend was not like any other typical weekend. It was the first weekend I spent with MSO. Having him standing beside me was something that I have been waiting for 9 months.. We watched Wolverine at GSC Midvalley. [OMG (biting fingers) Hugh Jackman and Daniel Henney] and it was superb!

We had lunch / belated birthday celebration at Zen and headed to The Gardens to do some serious major shopping. I bought a turquise dress and also a pair of strappy diamond-y turqoise shoes. Unfortunately, we could not find a turqoise handbag to go with it.. And then he gave me a special gift that I love so much!

Before exiting Midvalley area, we bought Big Apple doughnuts (Alien sangat chocolaty and sedapp!!!).

A lot of things going on and my mind is not really in a blogging mode. Maaf ya..

Status : Smiling :)

Alhamdulillah ala salama~

my first of April

>> Wednesday, April 01, 2009

Gembira kerana mereka juga turut gembira selepas aku menyatakan, "That is all for Statistics. We have just finished our syllabus". Semester ini aku mengenal erti sebenar teaching and learning. Aku mengajar mereka tentang Statistik. Mereka belajar tentang Statistik. Mereka mengajar aku tentang budaya Timur Tengah, aku belajar tentang budaya Timur Tengah.

"From the internet, I know that Malaysia is an Islamic country. But I thought that Malaysia is something like the US, very modern coz I saw from the pictures (gambar apa la yang ditengoknya) But when I first reached KLIA, I saw a Malay wearing the Hijab, it was very beautiful. Because I always see this in my country, and now, I am in another country, and there is also a Muslim wearing Hijab. It felt amazing. I see that Islam is everywhere. And when the first time I heard the Adzhan, MasyaAllah, I cried. Then the first time I wanted to call my dad, I waited for the Adzhan and said 'Dad, do you hear that? They also have Adzhan here.. It's amazing!' "

my new old friend

>> Friday, March 20, 2009

As I was blogging the previous post, I received a YM msg from an old friend, my classmate in Taiping, Emi. An Ipoh-mali girl who had that gangster-kinda vibe when she walks around. That was Emi back then. It's been years since I met her. Last was sometime during our varsity years. She is now in Aberbeen Scotland doing her phD :) [you rock girl!]

It's funny that a few days ago, I actually thought about her as I was driving at the UiTM roundabout after work. And of all the days, she msged me today.

DJ : aku baru terigt kat ko
DJ : 2 - 3 hari lepas
DJ : masa aku tgh drive kat roundabout uitm
DJ : serius aku x tipu
EMI : waaaa
EMI : hahahahahhaha
EMI : seyes
EMI : coolll
DJ : ko tau tak apa yg aku igt
DJ : ?
EMI : oh dear
EMI : fond memories ke
EMI : not so fond
DJ : hehehe
EMI : hahahahahha
EMI : apa yang ko ingat
DJ : tp ko jgn terasa lak aku ckp ni
DJ : aku terigt
EMI : alamakkk
DJ : ko ada pinjam buku novel aku
EMI : aku merajukk ker
DJ : mase kat ukm
EMI : hahahhahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
EMI : haaaaaaaaaaaaa
EMI : aku dah tak tahu kat mana
DJ : hahahaha (gelak berterabur)
DJ : tu la
DJ : hehehehehe
EMI : aiseyyy
DJ : serius aku x kisah beb
EMI : aku kene mintak ko halalkan ni
DJ : aku just terigt jer
DJ : hehehe
EMI : hahahahahhaha
DJ : aku dah lame halalkan
DJ : hehehe
EMI : lawak jer jay ni
DJ : aku terigt jer
DJ : hehehe jgn marah ek
DJ : xtau apesal
DJ : agaknya Allah dh bg sign
DJ : ckp ko akan msg aku hari jumaat
DJ : ahahahah

The 8 minutes short conversation with her got me thinking about stuff. Stuff that I used to dreamed about but was put aside for awhile. I guess Allah has something else planned for me. Somehow, I hope, I have that chance.. just to dream again...

my holiday plans

>> Saturday, February 14, 2009

Googling a place to go for a holiday. I know I want to feel the sandy beach in my feet and swim the deep blue ocean and take pictures of sunrise and sunset (note to self: need to buy an extra memory card and extra batteries for my SLR), drink fancy drinks with little umbrellas by the side of the glass, wear pareos and flip flops with my aviator sunglasses.

So these are my final options :-

Krabi (Phi Phi Island macam cerita The Beach.. Fabulous)
Pangkor
Redang

Or if I decide to be more adventurous, I'll add in Cambodia (gile adventurous).

Any other suggestions ?

my spectrum of life

>> Thursday, February 12, 2009

My ex-student, a part time model hung out with me today and lend me her book titled Alek (From Sudanese Refugee to International Supermodel). As she walked out from my office she said this,

"Takpe, take your time.. Bila I baca, I felt so inspired.. If dia yang susah susah boleh jadi supermodel, I pun boleh.. ahahahahahah"

Yup, that's right. She's considered quite close to me and calls me babe. Weird ? I know.. Takpe lah, since she is my ex-student and just 2 years younger than me, I'm okay.

Earlier this morning, my current student came by to see me to ask me questions. A very hard working guy and very sincere at heart. Somehow I could see it that he really wants to succeed. Unfortunately though, he is quite weak. I was filled with mixed emotions. I felt that even though he is hardworking but he doesn't know the proper technique of studying. Tapi dia nak berjaya. And at that very moment as I sat there watching him with full of determination trying to redo the question we discussed and trying to comprehend it, the images of Prof SK suddenly popped in my head in a black and white screen and he was saying this,

"It's our duty to guide them.. Not everyone is born smart and brilliant but we can help to shape them to be a successful person. Itu amanah kita.. Sometimes what we do that we might think is a small thing, could mean a lot to them.. "

He told me his CGPA and I could see that he is scared that I might judge him. But I made it clear that he has to work hard to improve on his CGPA. And he will succeed if he has the determination and willpower.. I felt sad when he said this,

"Saya memang tak pandai Maths Miss.. Terus terang saya cakap.. Tapi saya yakin Miss.. Saya akan usaha Miss.. Saya akan buktikan kat Miss yang saya boleh.. Tapi Miss kena tolong saya.. Saya mungkin akan tanya soalan bodoh sebab saya kadang - kadang memang tak paham.. tapi saya malu nak tanya.. nanti orang cakap.. eh dia ni, benda ni pun nak tanya?"

"Takpe.. Senang je, you jumpa saya personally and nak tanya apa - apa pun tanya je.. insyaAllah saya akan tolong"

"Terima kasih miss.. Ni dah citer kat miss ni saya rasa lega sket"

Why do I feel sad ? I wonder who had made him feel scared of asking. When you make them feel scared of asking, you make them feel scared to learn. I feel that no one should feel scared of asking questions..Sayang sekali..

Looking at him made me remember vividly the first time I met with my mentor aka my morrie Prof Aziz when I came to see him telling him my intentions to register for postgraduate school back in 2005.

"Saya memang nak sambung blajar Prof.. Tapi saya bukanlah pelajar yang cemerlang sangat Prof.. Saya average saje.. But I want to be an academician.. Prof rasa saya boleh buat ke ? "

He smiled and said this, "If you betul - betul nak, memang boleh.. saya takde masalah.. Saya memang akan accept student.. Setiap orang tu patut diberi peluang.. kalau ada keinginan.. memang boleh berjaya..."

A few simple words and with that I had the light of confidence to register for my post graduate. Yes, I was not the brightest students. I blame myself for not practising the proper technique of learning. But at least I learned from my mistakes and I can tell my students not to do the same. I was given a second chance in learning and worked hard for it as I know I wasn't the brightest. Pastinya tak tidor malam and literally crying while doing assignments and drinking bottomless coffee almost every night which had made me a coffee addict now. Everytime I always tell myself, "I will get through this... I will get through this.." I am fortunate to have wonderful family members who supported me and friends who fought the battle together.. Those are beautiful memories. I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to learn and thankful for that. The song that had helped me through would be Taylor Hick's Do I make you proud? and everyday before class, I would imagine my parents waiting for me outside the hall with a scroll in my hand.. I always envisioned that.. I guess it's true.. The mind is a very powerful tool..

My room is being visited by students almost everyday. Why ? Because this semester, I have become less garang. I guess to reach out to them, ada cara nya kot.. And I finally found out how..

With all the things happening around me makes my life more colorful nowadays, insyaAllah :)

Welcome 2009

>> Thursday, January 01, 2009

1. Same like Sheri's, I too want to improve on my prayers.

Reason : I am not perfect. I am only human. But I pray to Allah that I can maintain this resolution for the rest of my life, insyaAllah. I will try my very best not to miss a single solat, insyaAllah.

2. Maintain my weight.

Reason : Every year I intend to gain weight. Believe me, if you see my appetite to eat, you would be surprise why I am still skinny. Sometimes I get tired of people telling me, EEEE KURUSNYER. I tried to ignore those comments, and sometimes membackfire kan to those who saje say that because they know how irritated I would be. But now, I have decided to maintain my weight. (orang kurus sgt tensyen gk bila pakai baju and seluar longgar or tenggelam.. )Eat like normal and then comes my 3rd resolution.

3. Get back on exercising. Specifically saturday mornings before going to Pasar.

Reason : I leave the house at 645 am and reach home at 730pm almost everyday. I feel lethargic after having 6 hours of lectures, berdiri. and I always mandi malam. It's not healthy. So I want to exercise on weekends.

4. Cook at least once a month.

Reason : Ok. That is my benchmark, considering I have no time to cook on weekdays. Kalau rajin pun on Friday nights. Sometimes Saturdays. But I am setting it low so that when I review and dpt lebih sket, baru rase best :p

5. Improve on my English and German

Reason : Mastering English has always been my dream. So I will try to read more and discover more writers who has the same feel as I do. German ? I think some of you know why I need to improve on my German. (no, pakwe saya bukan org German)

6. Spend more time with family members and friends.

Reason : I have a life. And my life does not consume only shopping or lazing around. I wanna appreciate each and every moment I have with my family members especially. More family gatherings, makan - makan and gurau senda. Karaoke sessions with friends and perhaps bowling once in a while..

7. Improve on my Integration.

Reason : I suck at Calculus (cikgu Stat). I need to teach Business Mathematics this semester so macam whoaaaa... A lot of integrations, matrices, L'hopital's Rule, Chain Rule, Gaussian Method, Newton Rhapson, dan macam - macam lagi. So I really need to brush up on my calculus.

8. Spend wisely

Reason : I need to save up for something that will change my life. seriously.

9. Find other part time gigs.

Reason : I like to do this. What I really want right now is some crazy Wide Angle Lenses, Fish Eye Lenses, Standar Lenses and Zoom Lenses. I hope to buy it using my part time gigs. For me, getting paycheck from my varsity saja mmg alhamdulilah cukup. But the thought of having other income is exciting. I hope I can naik atas lagi dari Golden Circle at AVON, get more commission from my zhulian, research works from uitm hopefully, photography gigs (if any).

10. Work smart, play the cards right and dance his rhythm (the last one is a metaphor).

Reason : House.

So Goodbye 2008. It has been a great year!
Welcome 2009!

kiranya benarlah

Thanks Ma and Pa. Namun, di dalam kesusahan, kami pasti menghulurkan bantuan, sokongan dan just be there for each other.. Itulah kami.. Itulah adik beradik ku..

Yang bertanggapan we write for passion not for money.

Kiranya benarlah...

Big Bands and Swing

>> Wednesday, October 29, 2008

I have always adored and admired the lifestyle of the rich and famous. Wouldn't it be nice to have their convenience, their comfort, having almost everything possible under the sun.

Why the sudden materialistic side of me popped out? I am right now listening to Glenn Miller's Big Band Sounds. I imagine myself suddenly in a foreign land and suddenly its 1954. (cewah tiba2) I am getting ready to go to catch the live show at some fancy orchestral hall that starts at 8.. with my last touch up make up powder, I grab my pashmina shawl to keep me warm in the hall. The limo arrives and my significant other passes me the white gloves and walks with me to the limo.

cocktails before the show, i listen to people laughing and gentleman dressed in a 3-piece suit and lovely ladies in their gowns and dresses with the high heels complete with diamonds. and don't forget that diamond necklace that shines from far.

i see our own version of Marilyn Monroe (cewah.. ntah dari mana datangnya) and she wears a lovely white dress and her hair is nicely done with curls and a dangling pair of ear ring that matches nicely with her necklace and handbag. she is being surrounded by men on each side. giggling and making innuendos to other people's husband that makes other ladies gag. I shake my head and the show is about to start. people walking towards the entrance and checking their tickets for their seats. The ones who has the most expensive tickets walks confidently in front to the VIP door..

i take my seat next to my significant other and the lights dim. I close my eyes and hear the soothing sound of Moonlight Serenade that gently brings me back to my office in Batang Berjuntai where i am wearing a baju kurung with a stack of papers to be checked.. back to reality....

would be nice if i cud see Glenn Miller though...

Into the Blue, Alpha and Yellow and time value

>> Wednesday, October 22, 2008

watching SUPERHOT jessica alba (oh, come on.. am i wrong??) in Into The Blue made me feel like jumping in here :

Wish I could have this one day:
Dari manakah asalnya gambar2 nih ? Definitely not from me. Hehe.. I told my students to go on a holiday after their finals to refresh, rejuvinate and rewind (sepatutnya unwind tapi nak jugak the re- hehehe ).

After giving their Test 1 results, ada yang muka2 hampa, muka2 terkejut, muka2 (aku dah agak dah), and ada yg muka whatever... So I gave them a little boost in their confidence.. I don't think I am their favourite lecturer and I definitely teach their least most favourite subject, hehe.. But I think I can dive into their minds a little and put myself in their shoes. So I try my best to be the one lecturer that they are not afraid of to ask questions at the same time not the one they can mess around with.. (not an easy job, really) .. But its a teaching and learning process.. everyday i teach and i learn new characters, new tricks, old tricks (been there, done that), new perspective, new ideas on how to make the learning experience exciting and memorable. Only that, the one who evaluates me (SKT aka dalam bhs omputih is KPI) are the ones who never entered my class. based on surveys conducted during the end of the semester. where students just tick 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, if they like the lecturer or 1,1,1,1,1 for their least favourite lecturer.

In statistics, to test the reliability of the survey data is through Cronbach alpha. but how sincere are we when we answer survey forms? being a statistician myself, when i answer survey, i can say that 80% of the time I am honest, the rest of the time, i just wanna finish it quickly and get it over with. but there are times that i really answer the survey honestly when i feel that they can benefit from it. with the hopes that from that data, they can somehow formulate a new solution for the issue addressed in the survey.

Anyway, I'm thinking of changing to DiGi. Since I can maintain my supercool number.. hehehe.. Or should I wait for other networks to announce their MNP and see which gives the superlowest offer ?

Gimme your thoughts DiGi people ? Will they follow me ? Like everywhere ? Even in my campus yg jauh dan selalu takde line Maxis itu ? Seems like all networks are all out in marketing their services. I think at one point, the sms service will be free... will they ? u think ? remember in 2000, smses used to be 30sen and for one darned misscall yang sempat diangkat will cost you 60sen. and a frigging prepaid costed me rm238! i can top up a few ringgit and almost buy new lenses! that was the value at that time..

heh, remember the days without hp ? and public phones ? and meeting up in a middle of kl and not get lost? those days were based on trust, punctuality and public phones.. i think we took for granted that since mobile phones are well... mobile, we tend to procastinate and became less punctual. cause it's just a phone call away. so these days are based on handphones, smses and.. internet.. which is not a bad thing if we use it wisely..

okla, tajuk blog ni makin lama making pjg and labels pun dah jadi banyak sbb dia rojak kan.. so i'll stop now.

**actually i was waiting for someone to come around while writing this.. maybe dia penat kot**

ich vermisse dich

Sobani Iteyo

>> Wednesday, October 15, 2008

I wake up to the voice of Usher and Beyonce serenading me with In This Club (remix) every morning. Only this morning, i felt very weak and lazy to wake up but i have to.

I was on MC for two days due to fever and takdak suara. how to lecture ? I took the opportunity to rest and regain my energy since i had a hectic week last week.

The weekend was also hectic. On Saturday, we woke up early to go to Shah Alam for my cousin's engagement ceremony. (Congratulations Khaleefur!! if you're reading this). The day went on till night. Beraya sana sini, orang datang and stuff. Same goes for Sunday. Only that we went to KL area: Gombak and Selayang. and then head back home since people called saying they wanted to beraya kat rumah (Sorry Shazzain tak dapat gi open house umah ko sbb ada orang datang non stop).

I don't know if its me or what, but I want so much to have my long vacation. I'm listening to Long Vacation's Sobani Iteyo from the external hard disk that he gave me. Ada 15G of mp3s okay.. hehe and a downloaded collection of my favourite tv show 30rock and numb3rs :) thanks b.

I guess that's why i needed the 2 days mc.. to have my short vacation.. Hopefully I will get my long vacation again insyaAllah..

Now lagu Close to you, piano version played by Sena. Lovely piece. I played this during Burhanuddin Helmi's annual dinner in UKM in 2001. Sayangnya, the notes tak tau letak kat mana. And my piano is so out of tune. I am thinking of asking Uncle Nazri to tune my piano.. sbb susah pulak nak tune guitar if my piano is out of tune, kan?

I wanna be the old Dora again. I wanna write passionately, I wanna play music with feelings, I wanna smile when I see the sun, I wanna have my Long Vacation.. I wanna go to Redang one day and swim and go snorkling (spelling mcm ne ek) and see the underwater world.. I wanna go to Penang and eat by the beach. and take pictures of nature and people.

Sekarang lagu What Will I Do kat soundtrack Long Vacation ni.

I'm not really sure of the words to say
If only you knew that I feel this way
I wanna give my heart to you
Show me the way that you want me to
I know for sure there's a place for us
I'm counting the days 'till I feel your touch
You come to me when I dream at night
When I'm with you, it will be so right
If you can see the love in my eyes
You should know that I'm on your side
Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh
I'll be yours, you'll be mine
Ooh... What will I do? Ooh... What will I do?
Ooh... What will I do? Ooh... What will I do?
If you can see the love in my eyes
You should know that I'm on your side
Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh
I'll be yours, you'll be mine
Ooh... What will I do? Ooh... What will I do?
Ooh... What will I do? Ooh... What will I do

Sigh. I miss. I wish.

ustat pernah cakap..

>> Saturday, July 26, 2008

When I was in boarding school, in one of the classes yang period yang last tu... pukul 130 - 210 petang.. yang mane semua orang dah lapar and tak sabar2 nak lari ke DS (Dewan Selera) sebab haritu the menu was Nasi Ayam, dikala everyone's mind was visualizing Nasi Ayam DS sementara budak2 kelas lain yg balik cepat and lalu our class and gave us that "Haha beratur panjang la kau kejap lagi!! Hahahaha.. dapat ayam kecik2 la ko nnt.. hahahaha", dikala ketika itu, ustat pernah cakap.. "Persiapan untuk kahwin adalah 20 tahun.. percaya tak.. nak kahwin punya pasal... persiapan dia jer dah 20 tahun"... and then everybody started to pay attention again.. including me.. and then he said.. "kita belajar berjalan... bercakap... menulis... semua utk juga adalah persiapan utk kahwin... "

And then i thought. how about those who got married before 20 ? and he answered my question.. "maka, umur yang paling afdal untuk berkahwin adalah lebih daripada 20... dah cukup matang.. dah bersedia untuk memikul tanggungjawab... "

yes i know. interesting topic. so now, i am 21.. (cewah hehehe).. okla.. so now im 20 plus.. almost reaching 30... does that mean, i am dah 1o tahun lebih matang daripada the expected age to get married? something to think about..

but what i know is that, i want to be, i try and i hope that :-

I want to be
what I want to be now and live my life as happy and as freely as I want to be. I am thankful that I can do what I wanna do now and I have the freedom to do what I wanna do now.

I try to spend time with my family as much as possible. I try to hangout with my friends as much as possible (yang sesiapa masih sudi dan ada mase utk spend time wif me now). The quality time with the ones that you care about and cares about you that really matters. I try to make time for myself, like learning to take pictures, read books, spending my money for myself and my family, saving money for a rainy day, doing business just for the fun of it, learning new stuff everyday. meeting different type of people from different walks of life, talking and exchanging ideas with whoever I feel comfortable talking to and they reciprocate.

I hope that when I settle down, when I am married and have my own family, I will not regret. and not question, "why didn't I do this ? why didn't I do that? now I can't do this. now I can't do that." I hope that I won't say "ko senang la. ko takde commitment. ko takde laki nak jaga. ko takde anak." (believe me, i have heard that plenty of times and i wonder what had cause them to say that? what happened to the beauty of marriage? where are all the flower2 and butterflies? kenapa kena ada banyak bende negative? why? why? i really don't know why. and i wish I know and comprehend them NOW so that i can do something about it LATER.) and I hope, although there might be restrictions or as I always hear people say susah nnt bila dah kahwin I hope i still have some space to do the things i want. or even if i can't for some reason, at least, I have done it.. and not regret.

I have never been on the other side of the grass. I have no idea how it is. I've heard stories and seen with my eyes. But it's not the same as experiencing it yourself, I guess. They say it's always greener on the side that I am standing right now.. perhaps.. so i'm just gonna make it as green as possible.. at least when I look back, it will make me smile.. perhaps...

my chemical romance will be landing on Tuesday.. Can't wait :) How izzit being in a long distance relationship ? well, it's challenging at times. But as long as both parties are willing to give space, trust and understand each other, insyaAllah it will be fine. If you ask me, i'd say, the best part is meeting again after months of only listening to each other's voices and reading SMSes and YM msgs. The hardest part is parting again... but with those 3 vital ingredients, your recipe will be sweet, sugar and spice and all nice.. However, there may be times that you have misunderstanding and stuff.. Hence, the understanding each other part will play its role.. But who am I to give advice on long distance relationship (LDR) ? I've only been in LDR - inter-region with 6 hours time difference for 3 years only.. . i didn't say being in a LDR is easy. its a tough job. believe me. its not easy. but itulah dia i try to share my experience and thoughts.. it may be helpful.. it may not.. but its okay.. its my blog. HA HA.. hehehe.

Good night people. I had a very interesting / very not the routine / out of the ordinary day. Pray for me. Pray for me to hop on the other side of the grass soon. InsyaAllah :)

Just My Imagination

>> Wednesday, May 21, 2008

Today's German word of the day is

Um wieviel uhr ? sebut : umph vee-feel- urr
Meaning : At what time ?

Yup. I think i need to use this a lot. Especially when im involved in a LDR. with different time zone and stuff..

So i was driving back from picking up my brother at LRT when Norah Jones' Don't Know Why was on light and easy.. and suddenly i imagine myself in a coat walking along the street somewhere in a foreign land while the wind is blowing through my hair .. (eh pakai tudung laa.. tukar scene) blowing through my scarf. it's almost autumn and the leaves are dancing gracefully down from the tree.. and im holding a Starbucks' Hot Chocolate in one hand.. and another hand tugging nicely in my significant other's arms. and then he snatches my hot chocolate and sips it dengan penuh selambe while teasing me..

waah wudn't it be nice~

too much movies and novels ? perhaps...
missing him ? definitely.. :(

Kudos to Norah Jones who did a great job in bringing me to a place where i haven't been to in a while... my imagination...
