my 3rd week of february 08

Alright, to those who are dying to know how my Monday class went (yes, that means u Mangchik.. hehe), i'll summarize my whole week in this update ok? :)

Ok, my previous post ada banyak salah eja. probably i was writing it dalam keadaan menggigil kelaparan and plus, there was abit of a crack on my head due to vetting of examination papers.. yes.. 10 statistics papers [english and bm] to be discussed and corrected before we submit the final paper to the examination unit...

Ok ok, so monday.. as usual, almost everybody talked while i was teaching in class.. i guess they think they are already smart since they scored my paper.. oh well, so i gave them really difficult and challenging [to their level] random variable questions.. and ada yang tak bole jawab.. i guess now i feel like mcm ni biarlah.. u nak dgr, dgr lah.. if ur not interested, dont bother.. sampai ke tahap tu.. i have like just another 2 more topics which can be covered in 4 classes, so im ahead from the syllabus... then i gave this statement, "make sure i dont see u again next semester".. ok, when a lecturer says that, it means, "don't fail my paper" but some take it that i mmg tak nak jumpa diorg dah.. then ada some who could read between the lines said "weh, miss ckp mcm tu maksudnyer dia tak nak kita repeat laaa... ape la ko..."

then one guy said, "miss ajar subject lain la kat kitorg bole ke?... miss ajar bestla .. saya faham.."
yeah... then i remembered why i took this job.. despite all the challenges and the tensyen-ness.. i guess it pays off when u realized that u've made a difference in someone's life.. u've made an impact in someone's life... although people say kerja jadi lecturer senang... relax.. well, i can't say its all true.. it may be difficult to work with machines.. but at least u can control it.. but working with humans... it's something that takes a lot of time, effort, passion & understanding..

[itu baru hari isnin jer] .. other days went okay.. tp this week mmg super busy.. i returned the results for degree students... 49% failed which almost brought tears to my eyes.. aduh... maybe i'm not so good of a lecturer kot? or is statistics really that hard? it's one of the easiest subjects to score.. i mean, seriously.. lain la calculus.. itu mmg kena kaw kaw terer maths.. statistics is not entirely maths.. its more like.... yeah... statistics is more like.. life... kot?

maybe i should reconsider the ones who answered this question during TEST 1

Question 1 : What is the definition of Statistics?
Answer : ......Statistics is life... statistics is numbers...

i think i'll never forget that... heheheheheh
